Knight Theatre Rules
As part of the Levine Center for the Arts, Knight Theatre has rules and policies that match. Guests and visitors should read and understand the rules below to maximize their enjoyment of Knight Theatre events.
Accessibility Policy
Knight Theatre offers several accommodations for persons with accessibility needs. These include Assistive listening systems, wheelchair accessibility, and wheelchair seating. Knight Theatre is wheelchair accessible and most restrooms and water fountains are wheelchair accessible as well. Restrooms are equipped with strobe-light and audio alarm systems.
Ushers can meet with patrons requiring assistance at the corner of 1st and S. Tryon Street for all Knight Theatre performances. It is recommended that you call the Box Office at 704-372-1000 to arrange usher assistance before your scheduled event.
Visually-impaired patrons can expect audio descriptions at certain performances. The Box Office can provide a schedule of these performances upon request. Audio description provides an on-going oral description of action, sets, and costumes to allow the visually-impaired to enjoy an event using a headset to prevent disruption for other guests.
Large print programs are also available for patrons at many performances. At Knight Theatre, these programs can be obtained by asking an usher.
If you or someone in your party requires a service animal, please inform the Box Office before purchasing your ticket to arrange aisle seating.
For guests who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, Knight Theatre offers interpretation for many of its performances. The Box Office can provide a schedule of these performances upon request.
Knight Theatre also offers assistive listening equipment available free of charge for all amplified performances. Guests may ask an usher for assistance.
Arrival Policy
Knight Theatre recommends that all guests give themselves at least 30 minutes before their scheduled shows recommends you give yourself at least 30 minutes before your show’s start time to find parking and make it to the theater. If you arrive late, you may be asked to wait outside of the theater until an appropriate break period as decided by the event coordinator or house manager. To avoid frustration, Knight Theatre recommends that you be seated no later than 10 minutes before the event.
Food and Drink Policy
Outside food and drink are not allowed within Knight Theatre. You can order refreshments, including some of Charlotte’s best craft beers, at bars within the venue.
Lost & Found
If you have lost an item during an event at Knight Theatre, please call 704-379-1219 for help. You should leave a message with your name, contact information, detailed description of your lost item(s), as well as the date of the show you attended. Found items are held for 30 days and Knight Theatre will do its best effort to help locate your property.
Refund Policy
Refunds and exchanges are handled according to the policies of the organization presenting the event. Contact the Box Office at 704-372-1000 to find out your events refund and exchange policy.
